April at NTS: Grand Slams, Growing Teams, and Grateful Salutes
Welcome to our April news roundup! It was a high-energy month here at NTS, marked by heavy-hitting client events at the ballpark, a search for the next generation of IT innovators, and a heartfelt salute to those who serve our country in the federal reserve.
A Tale of Two Ballparks: From Indoor Luxury to Chilly Adventures
April was officially the month of the diamond! We had the pleasure of hosting our valued clients and guests for two distinct baseball experiences.
In Richmond, we gathered at the brand-new CarMax Park to watch the Flying Squirrels take on the Somerset Patriots. Guests enjoyed the game from the Atlantic Union Bank Lounge, a premier space that offered the best of both worlds: high-top lounge comfort with a perfect view of the live action. The night ended on a high note with a 5–2 victory for the Squirrels!
Meanwhile, in Norfolk, the weather had other plans. Despite the wind and chilly temperatures turning Harbor Park into a “down jacket and boots adventure,” our team and guests bundled up to cheer on the Norfolk Tides. While the Tides didn’t snag the win against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, the energy was electric, and we shared plenty of laughs over the absurdity of the opposition’s name.
Shaping the Future: NTS at Virginia Union University
On April 8th, the NTS recruitment team headed to Virginia Union University for the Spring 2026 Internship, Career and Graduate Fair. As a Richmond-based leader in IT, we are always on the lookout for the next generation of innovators passionate about cybersecurity, network management, and technical support. It was an inspiring day connecting with students, discussing career paths, and showcasing our cutting-edge security solutions. We can’t wait to see some of these bright minds take their next professional steps with us!
Honoring Our “Twice the Citizen” Heroes: The Army Reserve Birthday
April also marked a significant milestone: the 118th birthday of the United States Army Reserve. Founded in 1908, the Army Reserve is comprised of “Warrior Citizens” who masterfully balance civilian careers with military service.
NTS is incredibly proud to support our Army Reserve members and their families. We recognize the resilience and adaptability required to serve our local communities while remaining ready to defend the nation at a moment’s notice. To every Army Reserve Soldier and Civilian—past and present—thank you for your unwavering commitment and your service.
Stay tuned for more updates as we head into May! Whether on the field or in the server room, NTS remains committed to our clients, our community, and our team.
