PRINTER / DESKTOP TECHNICIAN

NTS is hiring a Printer /Desktop Field Services Technician to service our customers in the Richmond, VA area. The successful candidate will be responsible for traveling to multiple agency locations to diagnose and repair Laser   printers and provide desktop support while providing the highest level of customer support. Attention to detail in reporting is a must. All candidates will need to undergo background checks as well as drug testing.  THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION. MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1-2 YEARS OF HANDS-ON TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY.

Pay Range:  $18 – $22/hour depending on experience, certifications, etc. Benefits start on Day 91 of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot & repair Laser printers from various manufacturers including HP, Dell and Xerox. 
• Travel to various customer locations to perform onsite repairs.
• Complete necessary paperwork: Mileage, Time records, Parts used, Problems solved, Service history report
• Basic networking / IP configuration experience

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Previous copier/printer experience

·         High degree of electromechanical skills preferred

·         Windows 7 and 10 proficient

·         Networking knowledge and training a plus

·         Understanding of basic networking, IP configuration

·         A+ and OEM Certifications preferred

·         Verifiable strong work ethic

·         Reliable transportation

·         Customer service expertise

·         Effective communication skills

·         Ability to work independently

·         Logical troubleshooting skills

·         Ability to lift 50 lbs

·         High school diploma or equivalent required

·         Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience preferred

·         Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
