NTS is looking for a Tier II IT Service Desk Administrator to join our Network Operations Center (NOC). You’ll be responsible for managing our server and network infrastructures. Tier II System Administrator responsibilities include serving as an escalation point for our Operations team, monitoring system performance, and configuring new software and hardware. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with various operating systems. Ultimately, you will ensure our software, hardware, servers, and networks run smoothly.

The successful candidate will be able to pass a nationwide background check and have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation. 

Job Responsibilities:  

Establishes network users, user environments, directories, and security for networks being installed. 
Installs, upgrades, and configures Level Platforms Monitoring and Management Software for the Managed Services Practice in accordance with requirements of Statement of Work.
Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to increase overall professional development and contributes to the overall company goal of obtaining and maintaining manufacturer certifications

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge in troubleshooting and resolving workstation-based software issues with Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Server Platforms, domain and workgroup environments
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and configuration tools such as Managed Workplace, Solarwinds, HP SIM, Brocade BNA, etc.  
  • Knowledge and experience with routing and switching, basic firewall concepts, IPSec, SSH, SSL, access control lists, and SNMP.
  • Experience in supporting End Users and triaging call Escalations. Serves as an escalation point for Level 1 calls.
  • Basic support at the network level, WAN, LAN Connectivity.
  • Must be able to work with minimum direction and work effectively in a team environment. Must be customer-focused and possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of personnel at various levels within and outside NTS.
  • Good organizational and time management skills are required. Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills are also a necessity. In-depth knowledge of the IP protocol. Knowledge of network monitoring and configuration tools such as Cisco Prime.
  • Knowledge and experience with routing and switching, basic firewall concepts, IPSec, SSH, SSL, access control lists, and SNMP.
 
In addition to a working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS:
• Authentication
• Profiling device types
• Endpoint analysis
• Active Directory

Must be able to work in a team environment, interfacing with team and end-users.
Good communication skills.

Linux 
Any current certification from: Microsoft, Cisco, Brocade, Sophos, Mitel, Veeam, Xirus, etc.

Additional Information:
Duration of Contract:  FTE 
Hours:  Mon – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 
Pay Range:  $60,000 – $75,000 depending on experience and certifications
