July at NTS: A Month of Community, Development, and Team Spirit
Welcome to our July news roundup! This past month at NTS was defined by our continued focus on giving back to the community, investing in professional growth, and fostering a fun, collaborative team environment. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:
Community Outreach: A Heart for Service
NTS showed its commitment to the community through a variety of initiatives. Our team served lunch to 165 people at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, proudly assisting Richmond Friends of the Homeless. We were also a proud sponsor of the GRTC Transit Access Partnership event, which promotes accessible public transportation and a more connected city. Additionally, we demonstrated our support for military members and their families by attending the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Resource Event, a career fair at Fort Lee.
Investing in Our People: Growth and Safety
Our team’s professional development was a priority this month. Six staff members successfully completed their Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED certification through the American Red Cross, reinforcing our dedication to a safe workplace. We also welcomed our new summer interns, Julian Lawrence (Systems Administrator) and Tiffany Jordan (Administrative Assistant), and are excited to help them grow and discover new opportunities.
Team Spirit: Celebrating Together
We took time to celebrate and connect as a team. Our staff enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon for National Sunglasses Day, stepping outside for ice cream and lawn games. We even invited our neighbors, TLA Inc., to join in on the celebration, further strengthening our local relationships.
